I am just reading this as I was reaching out to her to inform her of our Bishop passing this week. I was her choir /program director .She and her mother attended Calvary Deliverance Christian Assembly in the Bronx. I very often had to pick her up to bring her to rehearsals. Her mother eventually moved and we lost contact. I found her about 2 yrs ago. We had a great conversation catching up on her and the church and promised to meet with each other. She was a sweetheart and I loved her soo much. May she Rest In Peace. 🙏🏽🥰🎤🎼

My dear friend, Bintou..the news of your passing affected me deeply. Your friendship, compassion, intellect, humor, and honesty is unparalleled. No words can describe the loss that your family and friends are experiencing. I am forever grateful for the times we had together and our conversations. You are loved and missed so much!!

To my beloved cousin, not a day goes by when I don’t think of you, I see things and want to share them with you. You left us way too soon and I will always regret the times I didn’t/couldn’t pick up your calls… our debates on fashion, TV shows, oh don’t get me started on your dislike for Piers Morgan…. forever my soul sister. Till we meet again. Hope you have now have peace.
    Love you cousin. Xxx

I am so sad that I didn’t get more time with you and grateful for the time I did have. I am even more sad for your close friends and family who can never replace you even as they now have the most badass guardian angel one could ask for. You effortlessly changed and made better the lives of so many people. If there is anyone who deserves to rest in peace, because you have already done and contributed a lifetime’s worth, it is you Bintou.

I miss your honesty. Somehow I know I will never find an opinion like yours ever again. Thank you for always making me feel like family and never a burden. Thanks for all the pancakes, without you I would have never known homemade is way better than frozen. Sleep well, darling!!! XOXO

Thank you for being a genuine friend for 21 years. I will always remember "My B*" – a smart, witty, hilarious, gorgeous, resilient, charismatic, resourceful, fashionista, badass woman and friend. I miss your smile. I miss your aura. I miss you. I will never forget you; there’s only one Bintou. I will always tell people the story about you screaming up at your mom who was several stories up: "Maaaaaaaaa, throw down the keys!!!!!" right in the middle of the hood and traffic. That memory, and so many others, will always make me smile/laugh. I love you, so much… Till I see you again, rest easy Queen. Xo
